Booking Terms & Conditions

Please be aware that no bookings are complete unless you have received an e-mail confirming your booking. If in doubt please just give us a call.

Should you need to cancel a booking we require a minimum of 48 hours notice. In the event of such a cancellation, & for whatever the reason for cancellation, whilst we are happy to reschedule your booking with us, no refunds are given except in the form of vouchers or credit on your account. Redemption of vouchers / account credit is subject to availability. Tokens are not refundable or transferable. Expiry dates are not able to be extended.

Horse-riding is an outdoor activity and therefore we aim to ride in all but exceptional weathers so please ensure that you wear suitable clothes at all times. During extreme weather conditions when it may be unsafe or uncomfortable to ride outside we can supply interesting, practical "on the ground" sessions as an alternative.
Other than for your first lesson at the centre, all riders must provide their own boots, and a riding hat that meets all of the requirements of the BHS Approved Centres Hat Rules.

Rider Weight

We have a maximum rider weight limit of 85Kg. In addition to this we have a maximum rider weight for each of our horses and ponies as individuals. This is for their welfare, which along with the health and safety of both horse and rider is of paramount importance to us.
When entering your details on our online registration it is therefore important that you do this accurately to avoid any disappointment on the day of your ride. All new riders will be asked to "weigh in" as part of the checking in procedure and any discrepancy between registered and actual weight may result in you being unable to ride. In this eventuality we are unable to offer a refund.

All returning riders should ensure that they update their profile online with any changes, and our booking system will also prompt you, and us, to check weights every 6 months.

Car Parking and Possessions

Cars parking is available onsite. Please drive carefully on the Arniss lane as there are horses and walkers around. Arniss Equestrian accepts no liability for any damage to vehicles no matter how caused. All possessions left in the office are entirely at your own risk and the Centre cannot accept liability for lost or broken items.

On arrival / Checking In

Please aim to arrive no later than 15-minutes prior to your ride time. Please be aware that we are unable to wait for late arrivals, and in the event that you do arrive late you will likely miss your ride. We will not be able to offer a refund. Please wait at the gate where you will be greeted by a member of the Team and your riders will be taken to the checking in point. Access is only permitted to the reception area / toilets. Clients must not access the stables area unless accompanied by a member of the Team. Family members are able to wait in the viewing area so they can see their riders with their horses. We appreciate your assistance in waiting in this area so that we can prioritise the checking in process and start rides promptly.
Riders should wear long trousers and bring socks. Shorts / skirts / dresses are not suitable to ride in.
